This is Nathan Cavanaugh, another DOGE staffer explaining how he flagged grants at NEH for "DEI" which would be reviewed for termination. 404 Media has reviewed hours of this footage and we'll have more soon.

Disgusting. Possibly even more cynical than my own institution which uses a subsidiary of all new staff to avoid paying a decent pension (I suspect they’ll try to do it to us all soon). The effect has been to deter all mid-career applicants but desperate young people and hourly-paid still come.

Joe Brainard’s β€˜I Remember’ (1970-1975) is a small book that is immense inside, not least because of the way itβ€”generously, wittily, companionablyβ€”opens up the reader to their own worlds of memory and feeling. There’s no such thing as an everybody book, but this is one. @dauntbookspub.bsky.social.

I see there is a celebratory deal on, with 10% off everything on the @brokensleepbooks.bsky.social website with the code WINNERS2026, so now would be a great time to order some books (you could even order my poetry collection New Famous Phrases!).

"The Rotters’ Club is the second of just two albums by Hatfield and the North, and to my ears, their best work...

Sheffield Hallam restricts TPS access to REF academics only Teaching staff at post-92 institution to be employed by subsidiary firm and loseΒ right to access expensive pensions scheme

'Teaching-only staff at Sheffield Hallam University are set to be moved into a subsidiary firm, leaving research intensive scholars the only academics still being employed directly by the institution.'

Utterly inequitable & betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of the teaching/research nexus. 1/3

The publishing industry's lack of confidence in authors and its own ability to create careers for them is pathetic and, in the end, self-defeating.

This is what Grammarly looks like when it is impersonating you, in a fraudulent way, in order to generate revenue for its product.

I have contacted a law firm asking for an opinion on a lawsuit. However, in the UK personality rights are not well protected, so a US case would be preferable.

Thousands of authors publish β€˜empty’ book in protest over AI using their work About 10,000 writers including Kazuo Ishiguro, Philippa Gregory and Richard Osman join copyright campaign

AI is based upon pirated work. Big names got behind this campaign but probably every author has been ripped off in some way.
