Large pile of san diego comic con items sitting on a vinyl plank floor propped against a white wall. There are 3 stacks of fantasy, sci fi, and comic books. There are also card games, signed art prints, an umbrella, a plushie, shirts, art supplies, pins, stickers, and more.
Obligatory San Diego Comic Con loot haul post! Lots of signed books, art supplies, shirts, art, pins, buttons, toys, games, and more! At least half this pile was free!

I just saw a new PT doctor. She says I have the floppiest, most flexible neck she has seen in her career. And she specializes in EDS so she sees a lot of floppy necks. Apparently I have cervical instability and I'm supposed to wear a soft neck brace. And she's worried I have a spinal fluid leak. 0.o
Honestly, it's one of the easiest and most comfortable costumes I've done in a while.

I'm at Comic Con, but I'm wearing a mask and using piles of hand sanitizer. I don't understand why so many people come to these things unmasked.
Look for treasure guarded by the fierce crew of the IKV Stranglehold
Current location: I'm watching people draw "quick" in an upstairs ballroom!
Find me for freebies! I have some free goodie bags filled with things like metal or acrylic bag charms, stickers, and more. Find me and one is yours! After I run out of bags, we'll do stickers.
Hints on my location in the comments!

Left a hidden prize at Comic Con. Hint: it's near the inclusive restroom.

I secretly released a goodie bag into the wild at Comic Con today, and it disappeared pretty quick! I'll have more for tomorrow, so I'll try to post some hints for some of those.
Reminder: if you see me, ask for a sticker or seashell!

Ugh, I have thousands of books on my goodreads "want to read list" right now.
Hey, if we run into each other in a book line somewhere, stop me and I'll hand you a sticker or something!
I now have the brain of a senile old woman. I'm only in my 30's. Infection hit me really hard, though. Even though the pandemic affected healthy people, too, I can't help but be incredibly jealous of healthy people.

Your schedule isn't complete without cosplay!
That's pretty much my Comic-Con plan every year. XD
I'll try to stop by your booth! How much for the totes?
Make a game plan! Check out the schedule and try to balance your time each day between panels and the exhibit hall.
Take care of your health! Wear a mask and use hand sanitizer unless you want to get sick. Drink lots of water and wear comfortable shoes. Make sure your backpack has padded straps.
I've been putting together bookmarks and bag charms as special comic con drops and giveaways! Everyone who finds me and asks for a prize will get something. It might be a seashell or sticker, but it could be something even more special.

I have the Friday signing on my schedule! Hope I can get a ticket!
This one is so cute! I'll try and stop by your booth!
Cute!
Thank you so much for considering accessibility! I would love to tour some castles someday, but accessibility is a huge challenge with historical buildings.
A removable top is super clever!
The seashell back and another back we're working on (Esquie from Expedition 33) are the right height so that my husband can see over them. But sometimes I go to events with a shorter carer, and that makes things complicated.
I love the throne idea! I've turned my chair into a clamshell the past couple of years for Comic Con, but sadly, I can't make the back too high since I have a carer pushing me.
San Diego is chill, but Comic Con is chaos. It's a different beast from any other convention. Do everything you can to maximize comfort, because it's not a place you want to be marching around in an uncomfortable cosplay. I've been cosplaying at SDCC for nearly 20 years. Learn from my mistakes. ๐
Hope to see you there!
Thank you!
Thanks!

This looks lovely. I'm physically disabled and sometimes I wish I were a mermaid. I move so much more easily and things hurt so much less when I'm in water.
At 17, I had 5 geckos, two turtles in a pond, a bunch of goldfish in another pond, and a fish tank. But I'm not saying you should necessarily have more pets. You have to consider what you have money for and what you will do with them if you go to college or move out.
