I'm not surprised they are. Wondering how many other countries feel the same way.

πͺπΈ RTVE Chair JosΓ© Pablo LΓ³pez has announced plans to "open a serious debate" regarding a reform of EBU statutes that would bar countries in conflict from Eurovision.

Lo que mΓ‘s temen los israelΓes en EurovisiΓ³n es que se vea el apoyo a Palestina
Probably not
π²πΉ Over 150 artists and lobbyists have called on Malta's Culture Minister and PBS CEO to withdraw from Eurovision 2026 if Israel participates.

The rules are there to prevent a mass lawsuit against the EBU I think
Now related to this....why does the accreditation handbook say it can be modified at any point by the EBU?
Pretty much, and the CoC seems like a copy and paste from last year.
These are the same as last year
Yeah, there's no list (I'm guessing it might be posted by the hosts, but idk)
Isn't this...kind of contradictive? Like you say you respect freedom of speech but you're threatening the participants' freedom of speech
There's an accreditation handbook instead app.eventgo.se/api/files/eu...
Currently yes
Twitter is down in my country as well
Could be,cause all of the press conferences since 2016 have been removed
also i found out that pretty much all press conferences from Eurovision have been hidden from the public for some reason
Apparently the EBU back in 2021 put a comment that they weren't going to tolerate comments that weren't about the music yet when she performed again in 2025 that comment was gone
Ok so apparently this happened. 2021 vs 2025. Same performer (Destiny, Malta 2020/2021)
It starts at 10pm CET today btw
Happy birthday!
Mira hoy he roto un paraguas hoy
Encima Joost teniendo un concierto ayer en el Ziggo Dome
I doubt they know. I think they're too naive. They think the brand wouldn't suffer, but it has suffered greatly. I feel like they think that they will be fine with that country's money.
And this coming out the day after Joost's Ziggo Dome concert...
ngl the staging gave me a laugh
I think "unforseen challenges" is short for "no one bought our tickets" at least in this case
Probably it was less than expected. The tour was doomed from the start tbh given the EBU's current reputation
