A box of red apples, located in the fruit & veg section of a Billa supermarket in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Each of the apples have had a small picture of a heart, or hearts, and a short romantic message (e.g. “I love you”) etched into their skin, presumably by a computer controlled laser, but that is just a guess. This is to mark Valentines Day, tomorrow (14/02/2026).
Even the apples are romantic at this time of year in Bulgaria!
