Here we have DINOSAUR for the NEC PC-8801, released in 1990 (some sources say 1989), DINOSAUR was developed by Falcom, it’s one of their first turn based games ever, and is notable for not featuring ANY actual dinosaurs
Hollow Knight, and of course, Silksong unfortunately have attracted a weird crowd of “Souls” players that really want you to fight bosses a specific way to “appreciate” them. Look I’m all for challenge runs where you limit yourself, but stop trying to put that on everyone else.

Today’s job was updating the squirrel guy, making him a back sprite and animating both. I think I did a good job, keeping my pixel art practice on the simple side is keeping me on it

I’m sure some people will have knee jerk reactions to this with the words “asset generation” but procedural has been around for decades. It doesn’t scrape art to try to create something based off that, it uses set parameters by artists to generate randomness (very much short handed description lol)
