This landed yesterday - and wow! A weighty, amazing book, the repro is top notch, it's great to read it as published, some wonderful stuff that I haven't read in years.

We published the complete 'Running Man' from Action last year, and there are a handful left in our shop- www.hiberniacomics.com

Starlord- one of the best comics ever!!
It brought 2000 AD the backbone of its golden age run along with Dredd- namely Strontium Dog and RoBusters- which would spawn the ABC Warriors and The VC's too, which was originally intended for Starlord
A must buy!

One of my favourite pieces, by Massimo Belardinelli.
The next Comic Archive will include a section on Belardinelli. A permanent presence in 2000 AD for over a decade, unique and instantly recognisable.

There are a few of last years Comic Archive left, available here www.hiberniacomics.com

Diceman No.1 Was released 40 years ago this month!!
The 'The Diceman' character was great, like John Constantine crossed with Indiana Jones- a pity he didn't continue in 2000 AD.
Pictured is Dave Gibbons pullout promo from Eagle 201.

From 55 years ago, the cover of Smash, 13th February 1971. The relaunched Smash was one of the best comics of the seventies. This version of Smash used a lot of content from a proposed 'mystery' title called 'Blackjack'.

Warhammer launched 28 years ago this month, I still think of this as a'recent' comic!

I loved this when it came out, stacked with 2000 AD creators, very much 'what if 2000 AD did a fantasy comic'

Pictured is Colin MacNeill's cover to issue 1

This should be an insta-back on day one. PJ is a one of the best comic artists working today, is one of the most supportive people in the industry plus he's just a super decent person.

I genuinely hope this overfunds like the clappers.

It's a bank holiday here in Ireland for one of our patron Saints, Saint Brigid. It's also the older Irish festival of Imbolg, marking the start of spring.

Pictured is Brigid's story from Girl comic 1960, written by Chad Varah and drawn by Gerry Haylock.

Newszines are always a great source of information, and below is not what I was looking for but interesting anyway!
Comic Buyers Guide September 1983 has one of the earliest earlier mentions of Eagles Dredd in the US. The dates are confusing, as I think issue one was available in October 1983.

I forgot I had this book, a companion to the Judge Dredd Role Playing Game from Games Workshop.
