HCWs need easy and free access to vaccines. Without the vaccine, there is greater risk that they will pick up Covid or the flu and pass it on to a vulnerable resident.

βFrom 1981 to 2015, there were an average of 18 smoke hours per year in the city of Calgary. No year had over 100.
Now we see hundreds of smoke hours routinely: 315 in 2017, 450 in 2018, 439 in 2021, 512 in 2023, and 2024 was βonlyβ 200.β

Itβs really disappointing. The smoke has so many layers of bad - the health impacts, the reminder of the reality of climate change and the overarching reminder that the order we create out of nature is fundamentally so fragile - nature always bats last.
And so few seem fussed.

I have many of his books but was only able to see one of his exhibitions. Standing in front of a massive SebastiΓ£o Salgado print is life changing. RIP knowing the world is more truly seen because of your visionπ

Can confirm that admitting teams have been begging for supports to expand capacity and allow 4 safe care for years. Without it docs have left and fewer admitting teams result. Those teams have safety limits as well. The Frontline HCW is doing their best. We need execs to come, see, listen & act.

Separated Bike Lanes Means Safer Streets, Study Says β Streetsblog USA
Cities that build protected lanes for cyclists end up with safer roads for people on bikesΒ and people in cars and on foot, a new studyΒ of 12 large metropolises revealed Wednesday.
Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.
ALL ROAD USERS.
And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.
For sharrows, itβs actually safer to NOT have them.
