Should be given the same importance as Diabetes and the price of Coeliac safe food is criminal! We have twins who have it and our food shop has increased by 40% at least.
Hard to explain to those unaware that coeliac disease makes following a strict gluten free diet essential.
Coeliac disease is a serious autoimmune condition where the body’s immune system reacts to gluten.
It is different from a food allergy or intolerance. In coeliac disease, gluten triggers the immune system to attack the lining of the gut, causing long-term damage if untreated.
Too often in educational settings, we see pupils emotions as a burden & use punishment as a quick fix solution. This works in the short-term but does not build skills the brain needs rooted in neuroscience. Strategies to support regulation to reduce problematic behaviour. 🧠🌱
