This is connected to the growing income inequality in American society generally. A longstanding trend is Jewish institutions dominated by the biggest contributors. Then in the last 2-3 years the sharp political turn of the billionaire class from Main St Republicans & centrist Democrats to MAGA.
I came up with a similar scenario yesterday, but by looking at Trump (who I think I understand better than I understand the Iranian regime).

Moderate Democratic politicians have always been liberal on social issues. Unwilling to challenge inequality, they have no message on economics worth paying attention to, so they inevitably fall back on social issues.

The problem isn't conflation. It's that she doesn't realize she is saying that Trump is defending Kuwait and attacking Minnesota.
Do the lower-income countries in Europe put all utilities, or all wires, in a single underground conduit? A giant cost driver in the US is that each utility buries its own wires or pipes. In cities you get a rat's nest underground. This is a major cost & delay problem for transit construction.

It's Israel for sure, but it's also his attack against the Democratic Party that identifies the party itself as the enemy. Lots of Dems support Medicare for All, some are even in leadership, but they don't attack the party as such. Especially if they need to run a competitive general election.
