The Pale King got "Erased so completely" and his soul was split into two parts. Erased and shattered, or, well, split.

Real Deltarune info before Chapters 3 and 4 come out, the 3 "HEROS OF LEGEND" are not Kris Susie or Ralsei. All hero's of Legend are amalgamations. Though I should note it's highly possibly there's more than 1 set of "Hero's".
