Satoshi outsmarts a crafty owl. We don't really see Pokémon working *this* hard to avoid being caught as much anymore so this ended up being a nice reminder of a time when the show had a bit more of a bite.

I absolutely agree! It was a risky move but, in my opinion, it could've been very successful if given the chance.

Remember, even when things feel like they only get bad, we still get some victories here and there. It shows we can't give up.

expectation vs reality ✨

They're in the show for like two minutes but I somehow remembered the band's name haha

Also, funnily enough, this was the only thing I knew Echosmith from before they did "With You" for Pokémon Journeys, so when I saw them in the credits I was like "oh it's the guys from The Muppets 2015" lol

Anyway watch some Muppets. Any Muppets. It doesn't matter, it'll make you feel good

At least Deadly is still Miss Piggy's friend and assistant in other Muppet productions which makes me so happy. 💚

It had its flaws but what doesn't? Maybe I'm biased because Miss Piggy is my fav but I had a great time watching every single episode. Even the weaker episodes had fun moments!

It deserved at least a season 2 but Disney are cowards. 😔

This show never found its audience (because some people thought the Muppets were just for kids even though they never were, so they couldn't accept the idea of a Muppet show with adults as the main target demographic) but the way they explored some characters was so good!

I put the 2015 Muppets show in the background to watch it while cooking and I found myself crying over Miss Piggy and Uncle Deadly's friendship all over again. 😔

At the end of the day, we can only speculate about the behind the scenes of it all unless we get an interview or something in the future, but I hope things do get better before the series ends! Because before all this I was having a consistently great time watching every single week ;;

Though that being said, I hope that the way they're hinting at other characters having Key Stones (with Agate actually using hers last week!) means Megas will eventually stop feeling like the Boy Thing and things become more balanced, as they used to be!

Mostly because those people who don't like female leads wouldn't be watching the show anyway at this point, so shifting the focus wouldn't make them come back. Toy sales may have more to do with it, considering a lot of the stuff they're releasing tied to the anime is focused on Megas. 🤔

If someone really said that I bet it's one of the execs who didn't want a solo female lead in the first place. 😆

Numbers are hard to measure nowadays because they can't rely on just TV ratings when there's VOD, streaming, etc., but I don't think that's the reason (or the main reason at least).

HZ post time skip has been such a rollercoaster of "I sleep" (when they focus on Roy battling without giving him any significant personal struggles) and "we're so back" (when they do *anything else* 😆)
