Yesterday, I was running a couple of minutes late for tennis practice, they had started walking. The absolute joy on her face as she ran to meet me 'hours we've been waiting for you!' #sayings

I have never had a Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh, Catholic, Anglican, Taoist, Jew, Hindi, Pagan, Wikkan, Shinto, Lutheran, Hethan or even an athiest pray on me!

As someone who uses a wheelchair, and crutches, to move about the community - keep your prayers to yourself!
If my use of mobility aids offends your view of the perfect world, then you are completely deluded.

I was preyed (prayed) upon by a pentacostal christian (small c on purpose) during my early morning walk in the cemetery.
My offensive use of crutches to walk upset her sensibilities of perfect, so a prayer was issued.

2/2 She didn't like wheels.
She loved people.
She loved meeting new people.
She is a rescue dog.
Or, as I say, she was 'a dog with a past'.
I can stand up out of my wheelchair, and reduce her stress. Plus, then I get the full love from a dog!

1/2 I met a dog today who was super aggressive.
Owners were very concerned!
So, I got out of my wheelchair, and leaned against a fence, the dog could lean against me and be patted in all the spots she wanted to be patted.
The dog had been to the pet shop and bathed.
She didn't like being wet.

I like the birthday weekend event - the lead up - Lego, planes, port etc.
Alone isn't bad - on the plus side, you don't have to tidy the table for breakfast /dinner.
Happy festival of birthday - 2 day lead in - the day - and dare I say, at least one more event during the week!! 🎉🎁🍾

2/2 EVERY Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, and medical report states I use crutches for mobilisation.
This is the new NDIS.
These are trained humans making decisions.
I'm now using my home equity to pay for disability aids.

1/2 I have been told my request for new crutches to walk is 'unsafe'.
I have been walking with crutches for 13 years.
The NDIS has now 'lost' all evidence of my nerve damage, and state there is NO evidence of my use of crutches.

2/2 I said his mum would
have been proud of the way which he was contacting people, and breaking the news. He hesitated, then thanked me. Having been in that role, it's good to know you have done it well. He's done it well. I'm proud of him too. #goodson

1/2 A friend's son contacted me today to tell me his mother had been killed in a road crash.
It was a sad call, but, he delivered the news well, gave good information, an idea of a memorial celebration.

The husband is lovely. But, his wife is absolutely delightful. And my day is made significantly better chatting with her for 15 minutes this morning.

I lived opposite a lovely couple from 1996 until 2011. Their daughter became pregnant at 16, and they raised the baby.
I have never had their phone number.
I have never known their surname.

I asked an exercise physiologist professional who 'understands' my medical condition how to navigate increasing muscle mass with autonomic failure. I have the heart rate when exercising of either
108 or 170.
'It can be a challenge' was his response.

I was granted accessed to the NDIS in 2021.
I've used crutches to walk since being hospitalised in 2013. The 'cure' went to the NDIS not to me. In the words of Maxwell Smart 'missed by that much.'

And in breaking news ......
After being prayed (preyed) upon by a Pentecostal christian (lower case c on purpose) I have been informed by a number of NDIS professionals there is no evidence I need to use crutches to walk.

As I become older, I want to reduce my impact on the world.
I have been very damaged by humans - medically, legally, institutionally, politically.
It's very hard to like them.
But, I am open to meeting people. Listening. Discussing. Learning.
But today means
Walk at 5.30am!!
And, I prefer dogs.

We came across a ruptured water pipe.
She said we should report it, then wandered off to 'go to church'.

I suspect she went to church to pray for all the sinners.

Meanwhile, this sinner rang the security company.
They have the after hours number for the cemetery staff.

The dog doesn't have that choice. Be nice or otherwise.
I said the dog relied on instinct, amazing sense of smell, and other senses for safety and self protection.
Doesn't make them lesser than humans.
Humans damage dogs and make them fearful.
Humans are not always nice.

I worried me that her belief makes her superior.
To everything.
Superior to her dog.
Her effect on the world.
To me (not a drama from my point of view).
Just 'better than .....'.
She said when she walked into a room she chose to be nice.
I asked why she wouldn't just be pleasant anyway?

Then she was the more important 'victim'. The person would be imprisoned because she was more important.
I pointed out the law was human focussed, not god based, but this was ignored.
Her complete belief that her dog, all animals and birds, and sinners were lesser than her.

The fact it was the first lawn cemetery in Australia!
She prattled on, telling he how her god created science, etc etc.
but then, she entered a realm where I became very interested.
Her religion said humans were the most important of all because they had a soul. If someone killed her dog or her,

I had said 'as long as you don't touch me,I don't mind'. Then she walked with me, extolling the virtues of her theology.
I gently discussed the environment we were in, the amazing gardens of the Enfield memorial park, the range of native plants, the wildlife, the skills of the horticultural staff.

I encountered a Christian in the cemetery during my walk at 6.30am this morning.
I normally walk at 5.30am, but, this morning, pain, fatigue and disinterest had led to snoozing for an extended time.
She had previously seen me in my wheelchair, and exclaimed 'you can walk!!'.
This led to a prayer.
