Pack it up, they already peaked with the current outrage cycle
I was shocked this worked on Bluesky

My UIM has the best gear in the game. Now it's time to use it.

But yeah I'm glad that one failed. The game doesn't need more niche food, and having it only able to be created at certain places seems so dumb.
I love how every time a poll fails now, Jagex has to establish that "No, this ISN'T over, we WILL be dragging this out until you vote YES"
This video contains the stupidest edit I've made so far, and it lasts about 2 seconds.
Literally the exact same thing is happening now with Jagex asking players for ideas for the raids 4 megarare
Tune in now for the UIM Winter Showdown 2026 awards show!

Beat the game btw, fun few hours if you enjoyed the first game. I do think the premise is kinda weakened by the fact that, even though the whole idea is "you're teaming up with the exes", all the bosses are still just alternate-reality versions of the exes.
I've been playing that game that came out on Steam recently that everyone's talking about
The beat-em-up gameplay is solid, I really like how they designed it to link healing to levelling up, and @anamanaguchi.bsky.social killed it on the music again :)
There's a Slay the Spire 2?

The next UIM video will go live Monday, March 9 at noon eastern.
UIM Showdown is over, completing Derek's Really Stressful Winter, Part 3 of 3

That's my captain
Imagine if bitcoin actually caught on as real currency for normal people lmao
And this isn't to blame the users or the new management or anything, it's just a hilarious unavoidable consequence of having something that was made 100% for techbro libertarians, suddenly get repurposed as a general-purpose social media app for normal people.
And now we're stuck with things like "sometimes a node in the decentralized verification network fails and people's usernames show up as a UUID", and 99.999% of users on the platform have ZERO interest in any of that - they joined because they wanted a website that was "like Twitter"
Bluesky's story is so fascinating.
It starts as a techbro decentralization vanity project, but suddenly it fills with normal people who join because it's "the one that's most like how Twitter used to be".
The OG visionary abandons ship, and now the new guard are stuck with INSANE design decisions.
I wish they'd just follow their own rules when it comes to the game jam, instead of getting carried away and skipping "that boring little poll process" when they're excited enough about the content.
The level-up UI changes and the music player changes have gone into the game within a month of the blog going up, entirely unpolled. Are they going to change all the teleport UIs without a poll too? That dev seemed real excited about that one.
Oh, and don't forget the rev cave rework was there too.
Jagex's yearly internal game jam is always so weird.
Half of the projects, that have overwhelming vocal support, get completely dropped. And then we get at least three projects that get shoved into the game without a poll, that definitely would *not* pass a poll. Like this shit:
Smash Bros announcer: "COLE PHELPS"
Wii remote speaker: "Cole Phelps, Traffic"
