A fundraiser has been launched to help pay for the legal expenses of the philosophy major taken by ICE earlier this week, and the Columbia Department of Philosophy has issued a statement about the situation and calling for the university to help him.

So Trump’s approach to the world’s disputed territories - currently Gaza and Greenland - is to claim the territories and maximally exploit their natural resources. I think there’s a word for that 🤔 And, of course, it’s for their own good.

I’ve turned down an invitation to give a talk in the US and I won’t go there until after the Trump regime. I think we should have an organised #academicboycott of the US.
