Regarding “savory,” have you tried A/B testing eating something with MSG? I buy some from the grocery store and use it (in addition to salt) to amp up the savoriness in some dishes.

I’m curious how closely that flavor is tied to smell. There’s a Scotch called Laphroaig that’s super smokey, and I can see how that flavor is tied to smell.

Ordinarily I'm at pains to explain that the President doesn't control the economy.
But in this case, and in many intentional, destructive moves, the President has sought to control the economy, and has hurt it through choices every econ major could predict would hurt the economy.
Do you have any idea if that affects your taste?

If it were about education and not political/cultural control, *man* there are so many other things that could have been done to improve the school! Now *that* would have been a project I — and so many other alumni — would have taken on.
The New College that gave me freedom from the confines of the usual now wants to be a mill that grinds out uniform students.
Rather than truly being the “Free State of Florida,” the state now bans what students can study. It’s part of an endless culture war that doesn’t improve educational results.
New College stoked my entrepreneurial spirit. The freedom to design my own classes taught me that being a catalyst for what I want to see in the world starts with one thing: starting, in any way possible. The time is now and you may not even need permission.
