You can use earplug. I do it occasionally. Actually in Vienna they give earplugs for free even at “fancy“ venues like the Konzerthaus. (Where the music played is supposed to be top notch.)

As academics we have helped perpetuate some of today’s political systems (without sufficient retrospection).
