Thor's Helmet, taken from my balcony
Thorβs Helmet (NGC 2359) is an emission nebula in the Canis Major region, visible only for a short period during the winter season. It also remains quite low on the horizon, right in the middle of the light-pollution belt. These are nearly 21 hours of integrated exposure. π

#C64 #Kouyate #RPG progress: after a break, I'm back onto this! Reworked some weapons code so now I can have 62 weapons and 64 armour items. That should be enough... But now my save games are broken, so I'll have to play through the whole game again...π«¨
The rosette nebula resembles a top down view of a flower. There is a dark center "pistil" that is largely void of colors. It is surrounded by "petals" that transition from deep-blue to a lighter blue. The petals are then fringed with golden-orange and red dust that continues out to the edges of the frame.
Rosette nebula in SHO. I started collecting data on this back in November but I've finally finished acquisition. Between camera problems, bad weather, and the moon being completely in the way, this one took way longer to complete than I planned.

Two bright concentrations of stars, one in the center and a smaller one in the lower right.
These are two open clusters in Gemini, M35 and NGC2158. NGC2158 initially looked like a globular cluster to me, but is actually an open cluster. #astrophotography

Yep, main sensor, guide sensor and ASIAir all in one
Yes, it's very comfortable, no more wires. The only problem is that it needs an illuminated field of at least 42mm, so it doesn't go well with all telescopes.
M81

I think that if it hadn't been for ASIAir I would never have started astrophotography. I still have a Raspberry with StellarMate ready for when I want to change.
The one with the integrated filter wheel? Very beautiful! Unfortunately, for now I am linked to the ZWO ecosystem.
It depends, I have an ED doublet, you can get by with β¬500. For an APO triplet you need about twice as much. Skywatcher has just put on sale an APO 120/900 (the new Evostar EDX series) for less than β¬1000.
I think the combination of my 102/714 with a 585 camera for galaxies is good.
NGC2403, then it's the turn of M81 (before sleeping step to Regulus with the filter for the test π)

An image of a large nebula structure that dominates the majority of the frame. There are two nebula in the structure: the Running Man, which is the smaller of the two and sits above and to the left of the larger Orion Nebula. The Orion Nebula dominates the majority of the frame. It's shape consists of a teal-blue shell surrounding a greenish-gold center. Throughout the image are swirls of background dust, which contrast subtly against the deeper background of the night sky. There are some stars dotting throughout the image, but compared to the nebula they are lost in the background.
I also processed an SHO version of the Orion Nebula. I know that HOO usually wins the show but I love how this one turned out. The blues, greens, and golds are just a wildly different view than you normally see for it and I'm here for it.

Ahah fatti invitare a Ligonchio cosΓ¬ ti godi un po di cielo scuro π€£
For humidity the usefulness is very limited in my opinion, better the heating bands or small fans. And here we have moisture. π
It depends a lot on the conditions of the place where you photograph. If you have nearby lights it doesn't hurt. For condensation there too it depends on how humid and what temperature changes you have during the night.
