I love this! I also took an ebike to the hospital for my baby's birth! (I actually biked myself since it started out as just a regular 38 week check-up, but the midwife realized we needed to induce that day!) 🚲 👶

To the 31 House Democrats who voted with Trump: I would never vote to disenfranchise your constituents, undermine their democratic rights, or impose harsher penalties on them against their will. Regrettably, you have done exactly that to my constituents and legislative body. Shame 😪
Masked officers in camo
Masked armed men watch a mother and her children go to school.
This morning: MPD and ATF conducted a massive paramilitary operation, with officers in masks and camo, in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of DC within 500 yards of an elementary school while neighborhood children were heading to school.
On their third day of classes.
Love it. Reminds me of our ten year wedding anniversary: had to schedule for a weekday lunch due to difficulty of finding childcare and then had to cancel in favor of 3/4 of us going to the doctor to get antibiotics! The 10th anniversary isn't the tin anniversary it's the antibiotics anniversary. 🤦🏼♀️
It got longer!!

Planning and compromise! Policymakers need to be weighing the different needs of different stakeholders accurately and planning ahead based on that.
What's needed for consumers to see the promise of 5G? @chrisjlewis.bsky.social: We need to not only open up more spectrum bands, but also use them as efficiently as possible. Unfortunately we are moving slowly in Washington to support that.

www.vox.com/features/239... This was a great piece. I also love motherhood, but a combination of wealth, privilege, luck & public policy choices have made it much more manageable & enjoyable for me than it is for many. I truly believe this is largely a public policy problem we must urgently address.
This is a full bore attack on the administrative state. Independent agencies are an important tool for governing our nation and they are truly at risk. We all benefit from having a functional gov't in this country, even Facebook. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
Wow, nothing to cement my commitment to winter biking like taking the metro on the first cold day and getting completely destroyed by outrageous metro BS. 🤦🏼♀️ ☃️ 🚴♀️

I'm spending a lot of time this week watching #USvGoogle. Due to court confidentiality rules you can only watch in person at the courthouse, so I am not watching absolutely everything. Here's the piece I wrote before the trial.
Hope to write an update soon based on what we've seen so far!
Okay writers strike! I'm ready for my Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog now!

Fun baseball fact: in the '94-'95 players strike, the Orioles owner, a union lawyer, was the only team owner to refuse to field scab players. Facing a $250,000 fine for every game missed, he was prepared to forfeit every game.
