This was my childhood (on NGC though)! The gunships were so fun to pilot. My big regret was that they were left out from the multiplayer.

I had two good friends with GBA and link cables to play this game with. It is still to this date one of my best multiplayer experiences and it's only now that I realise how rare it was to be in such situations.
