A digital drawing depicting an anthropomorphic dragon character named Marcel. He's mainly brown and a reddish-orange colour, with dark red patterns, blue shorts and uh, mass. Mainly I wanted to try out a new method of like "skeleton building" when sketching characters, mainly dividing the torso into different shapes to include the ribcage/upper torso (not like you'd see it on this guy tho XD). It does help a lot though, I should try it at different angles more. I like adding a shadow and cool backdrop for character pieces normally, and I had some fun with this one, the rainbow gradient bordering the background and the ben-day dot shading overlaying it looks nice imo. My computer makes everything undersaturated so the colours kinda come out a surprise to me half the time. I do pick colours slightly duller than what I intend for that reason, but it hits Marcel pretty hard at times, especially the shorts oml! they are NOT that blue on my computer screen lol.

A page with 4 characters on it, them being Kirby, Marx (from Kirby), the Knight (from Hollow Knight) and an original character. I mainly wanted to show off the full page rather than single drawings on it (which is why the drawings are so low-res XD). The page is grey and not white so I don't burn my eyeballs out. Kirby is simple, it's got thick lines and Ben-day dot shading. The OC is done a lot like the Marx, with thinner lines and the same shading technique. I need to find a better brush for it though, because the method I used for Marx turned out way worse on it. (Descriptions of Marx and the Knight can be found on their OG posts). (Is anyone even reading these? They are moreso here to reflect on the process and quirks of a piece so it doesn't matter if they're read or not).
