Nothing more humbling than having another painter friend take one look at your painting that's a homage to Bronze Age Hittite fertility rituals and say "this looks like Burning Man" (they aren't wrong tho)
"blood, milk, honey". Oil on canvas.

Not that it's meant to be explicitly sexual, mind you! It's more so about the idea of someone struggling with themselves, being sort of in a in-between state. Suspended somewhere between amalgamation, mitosis, and self-annihilation.
"Betwixt and Between", oil on canvas. I got an adorable email from a group of 6th graders asking if I could assist with their project. They said they love my art. I remembered the kind of shit I paint (LIKE THIS ONE!) & was briefly mortified, but we all def saw/see wilder shit online at that age.

From the late Jesse Hamm. My personal mantra for the past decade.
I knew I was evil before I knew I was fruity. come to think of it the two are totally unrelated. well I've made a fine mess of this prompt. kindergarten, though. I knew I was host to something ancient and horrible during arts & crafts

Fun fact this photo that always goes around is from the absolutely baller film about the assassination called Operacion Ogro (79) and thats a miniature of the car being blasted over a scale model! This is an official Basque Space Program fan account
More than half of my painting & comics college professors were absolutely degenerates
I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
please send it, this is so funny and I bet the doc could use a laugh

You should write weird, human stuff as a fuck-you to AI and the awful world we live in, yes, but also because you will be changed and your life will be changed through allowing yourself to be vulnerable and uncomfortable in your art.
stillwater ouroboros
Oooh, if I may also suggest, if you're not just doing stations, you should also take the time to cross the street to the train tracks where Castro crosses Market and look at the building that houses Castro Tattoo and Orphan Andy's. I always stop and stare bc of the crazy lights + vintage streetcars
also man, the amount of times I've slowly shambled down those middle stairs crossfaded praying i don't trip and fall, using my elbow to brace myself instead of touching the rail with my bare hands LOL
Panoramas are such a cool way to capture these entrances/exits. Thanks for sharing!
