Pre-print alert 🚨: We have developed 2D and 3D stable iPSC endothelial-differentiation models through dox inducible ETS expression. We demonstrate endothelial identity and used these models for studying malaria pathogenesis research. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
If you have ever wanted to know "Where is the gut is the parasite?" this pre-print is for you. 🐮 Led by Peyton, with thanks to our wonderful collaborators at @moredunfoundation.bsky.social Frank Katzer, @geordieparasit.bsky.social and EMs by @lemgruber.bsky.social www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
The Cambridge University Press journal Parasitology is running a special issue on Organoids and Parasites, providing a great platform for spotlighting research in this area.
A genuine pleasure to be involved in this.

Happy International Day for Women and Girls in Science.
We stand upon the achievements of so many great women scientists in our daily lives. Here's to many more to come.
Today is a day to acknowledge the women in my research group, as well as colleagues and collaborators, for their amazing science
A sincere thank you to the Hannah Dairy Research Foundation, we a very grateful for this support.
Congratulations to our group's PhD student @miriamgarner.bsky.social for leading on a HDRF grant application that we are delighted to report has been successful
This will elevate the host-parasite interactions research we can do using cutting-edge liver models (developed by Miriam!) for liver fluke
Hi everyone!
We are SPPIRIT, a Scottish ECR network created by a group of postdocs, research fellows, and PIs motivated to develop and strengthen the parasitology community in Scotland.
Follow us for research highlights, training opportunities, Workshops and much more!
Suggesting the 2024 lab motto was "Can you come and look at my organoids?" was well received 😅
Well done team, bravo 👏

"Into organoids, helminths and protozoa". Yikes.
Welcome to our brand new Blue Sky page!
We are really excited to be here to engage with our network in friendly, informative and productive ways!
Join us 😊
#EID is a network of 900 infectious disease researchers across different institutes in Edinburgh.
Give them a follow to connect with global experts and their cutting edge science.
We have a very basic starter pack!! If you work on 3D biology and organoids broadly defined and want to be included, leave a comment below

I'm new here. I'm a scientist interested in host:pathogen interactions with a view to translating basic research into novel disease interventions.
I develop and apply different organoid types and work on a variety of multicellular worm parasites and single celled protozoan parasites.
Hi!
