Ngl if I see an audiobook uses a "digital voice," it immediately devalues the work for me. I associate the writing with AI and then I lose all interest. You doing it yourself is absolutely the way to go!

Crazily enough, this sounds like a dream I had. I think that there's a lot of potential in a story like this where the people are stuck in this town, but they can't escape. How do they try to face the thing in the woods? How does being trapped and isolated change them? You should explore it!

#YouTube needs to pick their advertising partners better. I've gotten so many scam or #AIslop ads that when I get an ad from a real company, I just instinctively think it's a scam.

I guess purple prose is the new thing to avoid? It means something is very wordy and self-indulgent. What do the other colors mean? Me personally, I think my prose is a soft ultramarine.

Personally I think foreshadowing works best as a background detail. Maybe it sticks out or seems off to the reader, but as long as it isn't distracting and makes sense later, I think it's effective.

The best piece of advice that I've gotten this week about writing is to believe in your story.
The greatest stories have asked us to believe that a DeLorean can time travel, that lightning can bring a body to life, that a man can fly through the sky. Can they believe my story too?

AI has ruined the job search for writers. Am I interested in a position as an Editor? Sure. Does that mean I wanna read AI junk and make it sound human? Hell no. If I wanted to read boring AI slop all day, I'd go check out a corpo newsletter. Give me flawed human stuff.
