His relationship with the Forum is certainly a lot better post-EW, as that's when he received his archon certification, but prior to that he was moreso baffling to people and looked down upon for not spending much time actually studying coursework, spending most of his time adventuring.

at least usually, he finds demonstrations or sparring exhibition matches to be better. But he's absolutely capable of writing entire lengthy papers about the minutia of a fighting style, or a theory to enhance one.

He's an Archon, but definitely one of the less conventional ones. The most he's really ever in Sharlayan is to browse a newly discovered tome or review some magical concepts or forms from the library to assist in learning more battle styles or to get stronger. He doesn't submit research papers,
