Main trio Hertz, Zee and Tanya* Tanya might be from a separate college hence the asterisk. You know these characters already chances are but a recap of their dynamic is that Hertz and Zee are roommates, and Tanya is initially a friend of Zee’s The college name MUD is a play on Irish colleges all having: letter acronyms. Though I’m receptive to funnier options within the same sort of scheme

Lindsy, Liam and Aishling (who’s only in this grouping here because she’s the smallest for space). Lindsy yall might be familiar with but I believe the other two are new beyond concept doodles. She’s an influencer known for yo-yo tricks as well as a Physics student. Despite being more well known as Lindsy her first name is actually Stella. Liam O’Hara is a pun on the use of Liam as a default name for shit in Irish classes (usually as the friend you’re writing to in a letter) and thusly is sort of the Michael Comeau of this universe. Aisling, or “Ash” is a way less defined character yet, though she may be dating Alice in the next image. We’ll see. Last name was initially Mollogh but I am starting to think McKenna, though that is also a masculine ending so maybe not (though then again I don’t believe that matters to the names in English)

Alice, Penn, Gretel Alice is a butch lesbian but I don’t have much else to her yet beyond hypothetical hype moments and aura somewhere else. Penn: a play in Penultimate, despite the fact his biggest use doesn’t involve this. He also looks a bit like Jules but I think that’s just that this is my mental phenotype of a musician. He’s also a music student, making him one of the few I have a consistent subject for (alongside Tanya, Lindsy, and Gretel) Gretels an engineering student

Nora and Kale Nora is completely original to this project and based on a conversation with some friends about assigning college courses symbolic fruit. I think Oranges were sociology in this one but can change this to fit in more places. Kale on the other hand is a reference to an ancient sprite animation test of mine. He’s been reframed in it as Tanya’s college roommate, and thusly also not likely from Hertz college. A few other aspects of him have been changed but the design is consistent (including that weird medieval pageboy hair, it looks better on the sprite)

Character sheets related to an overlooked segment of Hertz’ worldbuilding, her college life.

Most of the new ones are minor characters, but they still will flesh things out a bit more.
