Hundreds of NOAA employees are being fired by Trump and DOGE.
The National Weather Service, which is part of NOAA, provides life saving weather forecasting in the US.
A study found that for every $1 invested in NWS, it produces $73 in value to Americans.
Again, this isn't about efficiency.

Some of America's richest individuals paid all of their Social Security taxes yesterday for the entire year.
Most Americans will pay Social Security taxes all year long.
That's because in 2025, SS taxes are only applied to the first $176K earned.
This cap has put Social Security at risk.

Coming from a former public employee for the state of Wisconsin, and as a current bargaining committee member that just achieved a first contract in my current workplace, I am so excited for the improved working conditions that will come.
