We welcome the Government's commitment to early years & its emphasis on boosting access and investing in the workforce to drive quality. We look forward to working in partnership with @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social, @stephenmorganmp.bsky.social & the wider early years system to deliver on this ambition.

It’s time to value this invisible labour and create policies that support gender equality. 💪💼
Can you add me please, Louise. Thanks!
more worryingly, disadvantaged children will be locked out of subsidised places.
Childcare needs urgent reform (like most public services) but firstly it needs to be stabilised so parents earn a living, children can thrive and the economy can grow. 2/2

Crucial that sectors like early years (a public service mainly delivered by private sector) is not seen as just another business. Rising NICs increases fees for parents restricting their ability to work, stops providers hiring more staff to meet demand and 1/
