Sophomores second half explosion leads the Ducks into Big Tourney quarterfinal with win over Maryland Katie Fiso and Ehis Etute carried the team in the second half, and Avary Cain hit a crucial three to help Oregon hold off Maryland in a 73-68 Big Ten Tournament second round win.

Ehis Etute and Katie Fiso scored 32 second half points. It followed a first half where they combined for two.

Because of them, the Ducks will play on. Friday will bring the No. 3 seed Michigan Wolverines, a team the Ducks already battled for 50 minutes.

I think Oregon sophomore Ehis Etute has a gripe for being left off the All-Big Ten teams.

Etute averaged 15.1 PPG and 9.7 RPG in Big Ten play. She led the league in rebounding percentage and was second in rebounding.

Her final four games she averaged 21.5 PPG and 11.0 RPG.
