A still from Bergman's persona: a black and white still of a boy wearing glasses and holding up his right hand against a screen that shows a blurry face of a woman.
New party trick: whenever someone starts arguing AGI is imminent, shout "I refute it thus!" and show them Bergman's PERSONA.

Important dictum. When I took those lessons on driving streetcars, I engrained it in my head well how much an industrial machine it was. Same with O ring temperature in January 1986. OSHA innovations were paid for in blood.
A hack for navigating challenging, ambiguous, momentous situations β of which there are many now.

How do we market a product or service in a way that conveys its real value to customers?
I hadnβt seen it, thanks for sharing.
Thereβs an article on HBR about this: hbr.org/2026/02/why-...
Using Freeform on iPadOS. Whenever I switch to another app (e.g., Safari) for an instant, Freeform resets and the tools go back to their original settings: pen weights, eraser mode, etc. Incredibly frustrating.
I suspect we can't help it, but...
Please stop anthropomorphizing AI.
Weβll livestream on Thursday, Feb 26 starting at 8 AM PST / 11 AM EST / 17:00 CET.
I hope you can join us!

Thereβs a general sense of anxiety about deploying AI. Even if you win the battle, you lose the war.
Itβs a conversation that should be had in the open, so thatβll be the focus of our second Unfinishe Open-Ended Session.

Are you feeling anxious? I wouldnβt be surprised if you are. AI is upending our work β and our identities, too.
Greg Petroff and I have been discussing what weβre hearing from design and product leaders.
Just finished reading βBlood Meridian.β Feeling changed, much like when I first read βMoby Dick.β Itβll take time for me to process it, but what an incredible work.
Deep respect to all of you making stuff happen. Talk is cheap. Starting + growing valuable things requires courage, creativity, and gumption β plus lots of luck. Hats off, my risk-taking friends. May the wind be at your back!
When faced with hype, consider the sources β and whether they're seeing clearly.
The grass is always greener on the other side. And for many people, "the other side" is the here of the (imaginary) past.

Apple Podcasts (this is the biggie!): podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...
The stuff weβre sharing can help people. But they need to find it first. And they wonβt see it if we donβt get more ratings.
So, pretty please: if youβve enjoyed at least one episode of our little podcast, will you leave us a rating? Iβll drop links in the posts below.
Thanks! π
Weβre not getting enough ratings.
Seems to be the nature of today's media ecosystem. (I'm guessing other people are as burned out as I am.) But this sucks, because β as I understand it, anyway β ratings and reviews affect the showβs visibility.
Ok, hereβs the deal.
Itβs been over a year since Harry and I started βTraction Heroes.β Weβve published 29 episodes, one every other week, without fail. And we know people are listening, because we can see the stats.
But thereβs a problem.
