Very much giving 'Alan Partridge accidentally dressed as Rupert The Bear'

He/Him. Thinks ALIEN 3 is the second best Alien film. Part time writer about films (Starburst Magazine, ZombieHamster, and Popcorn Digest). Full time Ridley Scott-stan. Always on the lookout for film writing work!
Very much giving 'Alan Partridge accidentally dressed as Rupert The Bear'
Watching The X Files and this police sketch is giving Sexy Squidward meets Jeffrey Epstein
Rare that a film argues in favour of suicide as the answer to emotional trauma, but Return to Silent Hill takes a good run at it.
In the coming days, weeks, months and years, there will be a number of people who come forward talking about how they were wrong for joining ICE. How they fell in with a bad crowd or they were duped by an ideal. They will want to apologise.
Donβt fucking let them. Let them drown in their shame.
Oui!
Listening to the latest Smersh pod episode and @johnrain.co.uk is talking about 'his pet monster that he keeps in a cage'.
The chastity cage community is delighted with this!
I'd never outright disliked an Edgar Wright film until The Running Man. I was actually vibing with it in a 3/5-one-note-action-film kind of way. But then the third act shat the bed & kept on shitting through to the credits. The bit with Michael Cena was the best the film had and felt the most Wright
Paused this youtube video at the wrong time, while taking calls at work. Makes it look like I was watching the Pain Olympics.
A childβs hand drawn picture of a miniature schnauzer with the words βHolly (name of the dog) + Alannah (my daughter)β written on it.
A childβs handwritten note that says βTo Alannah, Just remember Holly loves you and will always be with you. (Love) from Caraβ
I want to share something a little bright in this hopeless world, but it starts a little sad.
Last weekend we lost my forever pup Holly after a short but devastating illness. As a family we are broken, but I found this in my daughterβs bag, given to her by a friend at school and it is so healing.
Decent
It has been a wild ride.
Watching Sorry, Baby and Lolita so close together feels like an act of misogyny.
THIS is my week.
Did I say 'week'? What I meant was, this is what I watched over the last 48 hours.
Strange week.
Peaky Blinders did for flat caps what Jimmy Saville did for gold chains.
Unforgivable.
I had to cancel my order because I ended up buying Three Colours Trilogy in 4K instead.
And I regret it because Possession is an all-timer. Hoping it's still in stock by Friday.

Cutter's Way is one of my favourite first-time-watches from the past year. John Heard's as the titular tortured soul is the defining of his career. Bridges is great as the moody lead, unsure of the journey he's on every step of the way. And Lisa Eichhorn is particularly heartbreaking as Mo.
The streets will be like Naboo at the end of The Phantom Menace
You ever had eggs? Fuck, they're sick, man!
TLDR version: 'When I found out Ardal O'Hanlon called me angry and confrontational I immediately called him, as I do anyone who criticises me, and shouted at him for a while.'
Love the bit where he literally said to him 'you've made my shit list'
They are not wrong. The whole series plays like Heat with a head injury (complimentary)
I'm honestly not taking the piss when I say this but Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is comfortably one of my favourite films of the year.
The Kier Starmer 'Lad Lawyer' impressions shift so gradually to Brian Butterfield impressions that I didn't realise it was happening.
The 'QT, please shut the fuck up' challenge will unfortunately continue.
Saw this and thought of @johnrain.co.uk
We came so close to the nuke on each spin. I was genuinely afraid.
Very respectfully...
He remembers a few gags, but it was mostly from the smell.
Why are his limbs proportioned like the monster at the end of a 2010's found-footage horror movie
