thought the name rang a bell and though he's poshified himself - once upon a time he was "Craig Dillon" - I interviewed this guy back in 2019 as he was doing social media for MPs in a vaguely interesting way - crucially, he seemed entirely normal back then! yet another radicalisation case

This is violent, sickening rhetoric.

GB News commentator claiming here that non “indigenous” people are committing “genocide” against the UK.

GB News is beyond the fucking pale

It is absolutely insane that the US appears to have targeted desalination plants first – putting them onto the board. Iran seems to have already retaliated against one in Bahrain. This is one of the most obvious ways this could spiral.

Good piece about a transnational trend in reactionary politics

Following in Murdoch's footsteps, we have seen countless reactionary billionaires building media empires, almost always at a huge loss

Profit is not the point, power is and weakened democratic institutions are unable to resist

Away from the stock market and stronger for the future Because Axel Springer was penalized by investors for its growth plans, the media company decided to delist—with the help of US financial investor KKR.

Looks like they still retain significant shareholding...

"Since delisting, KKR and CPP Investments, which now hold 35.6 percent and 12.9 percent of the entire Springer company".

That means, in the same week that Farage called for non-UK citizens to be disenfranchised, he announced a new £3 million donation from a Thai-based investor 🤡

Also there seems to be a pharma exec in there. Am interested to see how they square that donation with the fact that Farage openly questions the Covid vaccine

Of the £5m+ donated to Reform in the final three months of 2025, more than half (£3m) was given by crypto investor Christopher Haborne.

The rest appears to have been given by an assortment of metals traders, asset managers, and property developers.

Inconvenient facts for Farage Reform’s own involvement with “foreign voters”...

Great article from Sam @writesbright.bsky.social on Farage's impersonation of Trump's favourite tantrum and lie - "the election was stolen" 😭

“He’s happy for foreign billionaires to buy British democracy, but not for marginalised, maligned, working-class Muslims to choose their local representatives. And that, folks, is Nigel Farage in a nutshell.”

Welcome to Farage-land, where it's not okay for Muslims to vote in elections, but it's okay for Reform to have overseas members and foreign billionaire backers...

Crybabies Farage doesn’t know how to lose...

Reform are a bunch of crybabies who need to accept that democracy involves losing quite often.

Their petty whinging is surely intensely off-putting to potential voters

Farage has been flying around the world trying to raise cash from foreign donors - a fact that deserves a front page a million times more than this autocratic racism

Matt Goodwin works for a (loss making) political propaganda platform masquerading as a media outlet.

He has zero room to talk about indoctrination

Voters making their choices in part based on complex foreign policy issues would often be seen as the sign of an enlightened electorate.

But apparently in the minds of Reform and the right-wing media this means sectarianism and the death of democracy.

Probably because they lost.

I mean Polanski used the video to claim that Labour and Reform are the same - which is total utter nonsense, especially on climate policy

26.02.2026 19:05 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

I agree - that money and influence is what I spend all of my time trying to expose.

It’s more disingenuous imo because Labour received millions before the last election from green funders. That was a huge counterweight to the small amounts of cash from lobbyists who have oil clients

26.02.2026 18:32 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 4 📌 0

It matters because he said Labour directly received money from fossil fuel companies, which proves my point about political campaigners masking the full truth for their own gain

Usually between 20 and 100 different companies in various sectors. Public affairs companies that lobby exclusively for fossil fuel firms are very rare

How am I being disingenuous? Where’s your proof? I literally monitor fossil fuel donations to political parties for a living

I know - I commissioned and edited this article.

If Polanski had said that Labour received donations from fossil fuel lobbyists - fine. But he didn’t. He said they received cash directly from fossil fuel companies
