It took a looong time but I did beat the tunnel when I was younger. This was one of my fav carts that I still have. But the tunnel is not the hardest level in Toads. Just about any level after always gave me more trouble. But might just be bc I didn’t suffer through it as often.

It is glorious. Beyond all the obvious greatness in it, I love that it’s just a good old fashioned Start Over when you’re all run out. The only way to get good is by reps and T2D makes that happen. But it’s not a cakewalk either and not a particularly quick play! Boss rush is a bitch, lol.
The shop I worked in focused on Cyrix and AMD at that time, their 586 lines. They were not bad chips at all. I do remember Cyrix made some less than great all-in-one boards that were like $50. But they ran StarCraft just fine so I had several, lol

I too got that NP offer and was my first JRPG experience. All the extras that came with it were awesome…maps, cards, etc. My friends and I ate that up! Alas, while I loved the tangible “experience” of it all, it was also the last JRPG that I really tried. Way to grindy for teenage me, lol

Agreed! One of the best games of that era and still plays great, imo. I still go back and play this one…and still get my ass kicked. Only go through it once and I think I did so thanks to a glitch on some late boss battle. Thanks for the reminder…may need to boot this up again.

Got my tix for Saturday. Glad it sounds like it's not a complete steamer. My theatre had very limited showings all weekend so that had me worried. Oh and it's really hard to believe Legacy was already 16 years ago! Oy.

The sheer volume of games is a wonderful problem to have but just appending my next fav game to the top of the list is getting ridiculous. There’s too many good games and things I fav’ed just a week ago end up in the basement.
