Ik ben het helemaal eens met alles dat @elckerlieke.bsky.social hier schrijft: het is enorm belangrijk dat postdocs zich organiseren - maar de hindernissen zijn enorm, en ze zijn institutioneel. Niet alleen het aantal postdocs wordt nergens bijgehouden, maar ook de hoeveelheid werk die ze doen niet.

Als je er niet bij kan zijn: ook online meedoen is heel erg fijn.
Dit is een belangrijk onderzoek: de Nederlandse overheid faalt in het beschermen van werknemers tegen uitbuiting, omdat ze "migratiecontrole" altijd en overal belangrijker vindt.

Abstract: This article examines the development of colonial public culture in Batavia, the capital of the Dutch East Indies, over the second half of the nineteenth century, focusing on two moments of extended colonial ceremony: the city’s 250th anniversary in 1869 and the inauguration of Queen Wilhelmina in 1898. The analysis shows that over the course of the century, colonial ceremonial increasingly sought to assimilate facets of local cultural practices, while also expanding spatially into a more diverse set of neighbourhoods. Nevertheless, this new and superficially more representative order still maintained a strict internal hierarchy embedded in spatial and socio-cultural boundaries.

Een deel uit de toelichting van het amendement. Met deze tekst geel gearceerd. Link in tweet. Het kabinet is voornemens om € 1,6 miljard per jaar te gaan bezuinigen op de begroting van het Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap (zie hieronder de volledige tabel uit de feitelijke vragen & antwoorden vanuit het Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap). Hierdoor komen vele banen op de tocht te staan, neemt de kansenongelijkheid toe en dreigt een generatie aan wetenschappelijk talent weg te vallen. Dit amendement maakt deze bezuinigingen daarom volledig ongedaan. Indieners zijn van mening, net als vele experts, planbureaus en bedrijven dat bezuinigen op onderwijs, onderzoek en innovatie zeer onverstandig is en op de lange termijn meer geld kost dan het oplevert. Het gaat in 2025 om een bedrag van € 708 miljoen en het loopt op tot € 1,6 miljard structureel.
Bezuinigingen op onderwijs zijn geen natuurwet, maar een politieke keuze. Een domme keuze vinden wij.
Daarom dienden we vandaag dit amendement in met een financiële dekking. Dus géén gratis bier.
Laten we hopen dat partijen die zeggen niet te willen bezuinigen, ook daad bij woord voegen!
100.000+ mensen eisten op 18 mei actie van het kabinet. Maar het bleef stil. Demissionair of niet: mensen in Gaza kunnen niet wachten. NL moet doen wat het kan om het genocidale geweld te stoppen.
Samen trekken we opnieuw een #RodeLijn. Tegen het wegkijken. Vóór mensenrechten.
