I just think that the entire presidential administration needs to be imprisoned and also three times a day their meals should be placed into an incinerator while they watch.
Not to mention a fuckton of schools changed their free speech policies to "if you protest we will expel you" policies mid the last protests.
Thank you @miawong.bsky.social for really making me feel less crazy about how calm the news/markets seem to be about this and how wildly nonsensical that is.
En-gay-ged in hammering
They gotta convince you that you aren't already hot or else they can't sell you something to "make" you hot.
Don't let the ads get to you! *Marketers* make those! They can't be trusted!
People love continuing to throw the trolley problem around as though it wasn't already solved by IWW IU 520 Railroad Workers - slip the switch (aka reject the premise.)
Technically yes (because you ARE the media that isn't a rich person's vanity project / propaganda outlet now.)
I just read through the entire comic out so far in two days, it's wonderful and I love it. You've done such a good job of making the world mysterious and fascinating, and the feeling of being deeply unsettled as the amnesia part hit was visceral.
Just so good, thank you for making it!
Spiders are known for the extensive research they do on the soil in an area before planning a web, hence their name spider which is short for spy-dirt.
Going after desalination is closer to nuclear war than anything else weve ever seen there is no world if this is done there is just no world left after the horrors this will unleash
Good gods the images from Tehran really do look like this war is summoning hell on this earth. Crimes against humanity
Sixty second timelines are such a "be creative fast or die" timeline, really making me struggle trying to speed answer reference questions on the text side lol.
This is the greatest website.
It's the middle of the night in Chicago. Reporters and electeds are trying to figure out why a US citizen was detained by CBP, why her phone was inside an ICE detention center tonight, and where she is now.
Also unclear what happened to the other five people she was detained with at O'Hare airport.
...is flag football larping contact football...
I'm mourning the evil we do first and foremost but I am also mourning the good we sacrifice to do it.
If you divide this by 50, it's 74 million per state, which is the annual budget for the entire Philadelphia library system.
We're burning a major city's library system *per state* of money on murder in a hundred hours.
There's at least one case where they sold a kid's phone just to a nearby resaler, so I kinda expect that's happening a lot.
Oh no my gender is executive dysfunction huh
See the reason why @notalawyer.bsky.social is right and @michaelhobbes.bsky.social is wrong is because Football is an outdoor activity, which is cool and good for you.
To make the perfect analogy, speed running is a nerdy nonsense thing like D&D but football is more like larping. Objectively cool!
"George Washington would have attacked on Christmas. The founding fathers were all about tactically efficient warfighting."
(you should actually consider that you are a terrible person if you accept any excuses for killing children btw. Just the poverty excuse is pretty easy to disprove and I have been dealing with people mad their children had to see "a homeless" and I'm losing it)
If you have more sympathy for a hypothetical poor soldier bombing children to pay for college than you do for the real poor human you saw sleeping on the street in the cold, you might want to consider if you actually are a terrible person.
If it was actually evil or "reality-eschewing" to call the NYT a fascist rag, someone would have gotten a glowing profile in the NYT for doing so by now.
I'm gonna go with Iranian schoolgirls not being my enemy or people who pose any particular threat to me who got killed for no reason.
God and not even incredibly popular Stucky. 10,000 hits???
People, find/replace your fanfics!
Art matters. And what do we do with things that matter? We protect them.
Here is information about H.R. 7661, a US book banning bill that explicitly targets books about trans people, and what you can do right now to help stop it.
Part of the reason the whole country hasn't been screaming about trans Kansans who drive being made criminals overnight is because there's so much else that's unconstitutional and horrifying.
But part of it is because it's happening to trans people.
That's the 34th most populous state declaring trans people to not have papers.
So you know. Bad.
