Finished the sleeveless sweater I have been working on. Ended up doing a raglan since I can do that without a pattern. Glad to have made something I will definitely wear from my homespun yarn. It turned made a really nice boucle fabric. 🙂🧶🧶🧶

Decided to keep the ribs as a center design since I like making them. Also, decided to use hdc BLO moving forward.

I started spinning because Noro is my favorite yarn. I love the bumpy texture and uncommon color combos. I use baby alpaca & angora for softness.

My homespun knit project went terribly wrong over the weekend! I frogged it and decided to crochet. 🧶

Going to use these three batches of homespun top to bottom, light to dark. The middle ball has mid-tones inside.

Using SC BLO to make a flat fabric more like knitting.

Yeah, I'm testing out crochet stitches that might work with this crazy yarn of mine.

Now I'm experimenting with crochet stitches that will work with this art yarn. It's so twisted and the thickness varies so much that it is tricky. Stockinette was perfect, but I think I can figure it out.

Hi Michelle... I had to frog my sweater. It's fine. I'm looking at it as an exercise in learning to knit. I just didn't have the skills to get the bottom up design right. I ended up really messing it up when I tried to do the arm holes!

I started increasing and am going to separate the arm holes soon. Kinda nervous since I have never knit a sweater before. 😬

Hope you get some relief soon. I understand how hard it is to cope without crafting. It's my favorite way to relax.

I have no idea how I will get to the finished product. I'm just watching YouTube tutorials as I go. Next, I need to look up how to cast off arm holes. I think if I make the sides pretty open, I won't have to do many increases for a boxy shape (???).

I want it to look like a combo of these. Boxy, fitted a the waist and with a cowl.

I do it a lot with crochet. It's so forgiving! I think of of it like sculpting.

I'm envisioning wearing the vest over a dress like this.

I think I have enough homespun to make a vest. I have three batches I made a few years ago that go together. Thought knitting them up might get me back into spinning. 🙂
