In the “creator economy” the resource being exploited is the creators, themselves, not the creativity that they output.

Those of us who do not worship at the alter of capitalism are gonna need to build our own economy. One that puts profit margins at the bottom of our priorities.

The fact is, venture capital and independent creative artistic work are incompatible.

VC requires hypergrowth from a company until it sells or goes public.

Hypergrowth requires *predictability* and maximizing profit margins. Independent artists tend not to deliver those two things.
