Why is this a question of concern to the Indian defence review

This is perhaps a good demonstration of the way that X and Bsky make smart people say stupid things. No ones principles are separate from the people they imagine themselves to be. The charitable and uncharitable reads aren't very different, but people mostly care about making biting comments.

This is the only reasonable belief vis a vis trans people's sex. You can't believe anything else in good faith.

That's fair I probably agree with you on this point.

I agree with you for the most part that right wingers who claim not to want desegregation in fact do, but I think there is a significant contingent who don't feel strongly about segregation and who just want to be able to say racist things in public. I think these are real people

Huh? I am confused. He thinks that segregation is one of the biggest risks associated with breaking taboos about racism, this does not necessarily mean that the people who want to break those taboos want segregation. (I think many of them fairly sincerely don't, though even more do)

Granted, however neither does "Incoherent" just mean that the premises are *wrong*, it usually means they are deeply philosophically confused. I do not think that applies here, but more to the point a number of people seemed to genuinely be failing to follow the argument!

If I believe you're a bunch of idiot liars why would i not be extremely skeptical of factual claims you're making? As I said I'm only in a position to debate the text, and nothing you've said has convinced me that "Incoherent" is a reasonable description of it

I am in no position to debate factual claims. I trust neither you nor Matt Y to be substantively correct about any of this, I was just baffled by the implication that the claim that what was being said was unclear

But being someone who runs in mostly stem circles yes "Incoherent" usually refers to a claim where the argument doesn't follow from the premises, if the premises are false then it's just a bad piece of research
