Farmers were already getting squeezed on every end, and now the war in Iran is limiting the supply of fuel and fertilizer just as they head into planting season. Costs are soaring.
What has Miller-Meeks done for our farmers the entire time she has been in Congress?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without public schools and the incredible teachers who supported me along the way. In Congress, I’ll fight to protect and strengthen public education so every child has the opportunity to thrive.
They remember fondly the time that Iowa was number one in public education, and they are upset that Iowa politicians like Miller-Meeks and Gov. Reynolds have been disinvesting in our public schools for years. Miller-Meeks even attacked teachers during a congressional hearing.
On Saturday, I had the honor of sitting down with ISEA to talk about the future of education in Iowa.
Throughout SE Iowa, everyone I talk to -- regardless of political party -- strongly supports our public schools.
On International Women’s Day, I want to give a big shout-out to the fierce and talented young women on Iowa’s basketball team. They might not have come out on top today, but they have had a terrific season and are headed to the NCAA championships!!

ICYMI: after voting against extending the ACA tax credits, Miller-Meeks refuses to even talk to her constituents whose premiums have skyrocketed.
Whether it’s cutting healthcare for thousands of Iowans, or increasing premiums for countless more, Miller-Meeks refuses to answer to Iowans.
We need a representative who doesn’t have to be shamed into fighting for American manufacturing jobs. We need a representative who doesn’t have to be reminded to put Iowans first.
Miller-Meeks refused for days to even respond to the Machinists’ union’s plea for help, until I published an open letter urging Whirlpool to stop sending our jobs to Mexico and urging her to respond to the workers.
Today I attended a rally to support the workers at the Amana Whirlpool plant. Nearly 350 workers have just been laid off and clocked out for the last time today. No more paycheck, no more health benefits, no severance.
First Miller-Meeks votes to increase healthcare costs. Then, she refuses to answer to her constituents about it, even when their premiums have increased by ten-fold.
I honor these soldiers’ patriotism, bravery, and sacrifice, and send my deepest condolences to their families. This is a very sad day for our State.
I am heartbroken to learn that one of Iowa’s own sons, Sgt. Declan J. Coady of West Des Moines, was among the six American service members killed in Iran. Four of the soldiers killed were part of a unit based in Iowa.

It was great to see friends at Oaknoll retirement community to celebrate the amazing Jean Lloyd-Jones. Jean is a former Iowa State Senator and a co-founder of 50/50 by 2020, a bipartisan program she and Republican Maggie Tinsman founded to get more women elected to office.
The team and I are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support since filing to get on the ballot.
