Still reading October Film Haunt and still enjoying the absolute hell out of it.
Gonna be recommending this one a lot. I can already tell.

Yes! I donβt know if every adult feels like this, but dang do I love planning stuff.
And when someone ask you about how youβre planning something and you get to tell them all the stuff youβre doing? Thatβs the best part!
Group hike on the Point Buchon Trail at Montana de Oro State Park.
Saw cows, quail, heron, coyotes, and even spotted some wale spouts out on the ocean.
Also got views of blooming poppies and the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant.
Jumping on that viral "CEO's sampling their own products" trend by printing out my most rejected short story and eating it on camera.
Re-watching Chernobyl and finding it oddly comfortingβ¦
I was thinking about checking out Arc Raiders. How are you liking it?
Apparently, the All-Seeing Orb οΏΌhas called some sort of wizards meeting in the lobby of my apartment building.
*Wearing a lab coat and looking at reams of data chugging out of a dot matrix printer*
βYes. I see. It appears I βsuck big timeβ and have βsad loser energyββ¦ fascinating!β
Joined some nice folks from Sierra Club of San Luis Obispo for my first 10 mile hike on the Duna Vista trail at Lopez Lake.
It was a long, hot hike, but the wildflowers were blooming and we found a spot with a killer view for lunch.
Attended a fantastic opera/piano performance tonight.
After all, man cannot live on MotΓΆrhead alone.
Been looking for a show to watch obsessively, and The Thick of it is definitely my jam.
They say a good deed is its own reward.
But who could guess that simply giving a stranger a lift to the bus terminal could take you--and your beat up old car--to the most amazing places?
Read "The Good Stuff" by @dennismpowers.bsky.social for free, now!

Yeah, I know RoboCop is supposed to take place in a hellish, οΏΌcrime-ridden dystopia where evil corporations run amok, but at least there are no cell phones or social media.
Just realized I left the book Iβve been reading on my desk at work and wonβt be able to get back into the building until Monday to get it.
Whatβs the most depressing thing that could be playing on the tv at a dive bar?
My pick: Law & Order SVU
Riders on the Stormβ¦
The poster for the 2022 movie monolith. It shows a young woman sitting at a desk with a microphone in front of her and an ominous foggy background.
Monolith is a wildly cool and intense psychological horror movie.
I chose it at random and was blown away by how great it was. Lily Sullivan sells the weirdness, paranoia, and dread in an unnervingly convincing way.
Iβve got a new horror book, good bourbon, and the day off tomorrow.
SlΓ‘inte, yβall.
That beautiful moment after you hit the button to trigger an FF7 limit break on the PS1 controller.
Apparently, my intrusive thoughts about overeating have been outsourced to DoorDash.
Love living in the 21st-century lol
More photos from camping and hiking at San Simeon State Park.
My dog is an old guy (13) who prefers a soft couch to being outside, but he had a great time patrolling our campsite looking for squirrels, laying in the tent, and trying to eat my snacks.
Hereβs to more adventures, little dude.
A cup of coffee and a copy of Poppy Z Bright, short story collection, warm wood in paperback sitting on a coffee table.
Just finished Poppy Z Briteβs Wormwood and this collection absolutely lived up to and exceeded my expectations.
These are dark, wonderfully nasty little stories beautifully written. βCalcutta Lord of Nervesβ, βXenophobiaβ, and βHis Mouth Will Taste of Wormwoodβ are my personal favorites.
Hey, I know that guy!
Excited to do my first presentation, Q&A, and book signing next month for a local writer's group I'm a part of.
My ultimate goal is an uncle, Iβve realized, is to be the kind of uncle who leaves his nephews a haunted castle that they can inherit, but only if they spend one night in it.
Bunch of typos in this post, of course. What I meant to say is that it combines genres like horror and fantasy and even elements of detective fiction. Thatβs what I get for posting via speech to text.
I listened to an audiobook version of this, and it was really good. Itβs a great story that combines horror fantasy elements of detective fiction in a really cool way.
Definitely grab this book if you can.
Legit got to look up from sipping my beer after someone in the bar asked a question tonight and say βIβm a union manβ β¦ it was awesome as hell.
βSinΓ©ad O'Connorβs βTroyβ is actually a heavy metal song.β
βElaborate on that.β
βNo.β
