The displayed reverse poem reads as follows: Emerging from the shadow, blade in hand I am here for the sake of an absent other For after all The darkness had no hold on me Yet I find it difficult to believe How our sworn promise was for nothing And there is no denying That bottomless grief yet clings to my mind and body But surrounded by this fog on moonless nights, There remains a light, burning crimson it leads onward As an arrow tracing its target, a blade piercing forward, Through the multitudes that stand against me I must fight to know What is the truth? Indeed, To what depths does this darkness reach? The bordering flowers include: bird's foot trefoil (revenge) white chrysanthemums (truth) forget-me-nots (true love) crimson polyanthus: the heart's mystery carolina jasmine: separation dwarf sunflower: adoration flos adonis: painful recollection

Very delayed on my part but I wrote this reverse poem for @mdryuuzine.bsky.social ! For those who don't know, it's meant to be readable both from top to bottom and in reverse, bottom to top.

My preview for the @mdryuuzine.bsky.social zine 🌙✨⭐️ a masquerade ball leads to quite the unexpected meeting, I wonder what goes…through Ryuunosuke’s mind as he’s caught by this masked man?

Ryunosuke's mind wanders to the quiet disciple he once knew. Though the disciple thankfully had ended up being Kazuma as predicted, something in his mind -- for some reason -- had secretly hoped that the quiet, polite figure that followed Lord van Zieks like a kitten would always be an enigma. He cannot figure out why. He shouldn't want this. He has everything he wants. He is absolutely elated Kazuma is alive, but something about the concept of being swept away in a romance by a mysterious stranger has appealed to him for the longest time. If there was more time, perhaps he may have had the chance to explore that. It may be time to address it before it consumes him.
