Yesterday, we inaugurated the JRC Science Surface Lab in its new home at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

A historic first!
We’ve relocated our Surface Science Laboratory Station to the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
This world-class facility will remain in our open access programme, available to researchers across Europe.

Magnets have been traditionally divided into the ferromagnetic branch and the antiferromagnetic branch. In 2022, researchers from @fzuavcr.bsky.social and international collaborators made a discovery of a new branch of the magnetic family, termed altermagnetic.
