This was a great post, and I'm posting it for myself and other writers: hughhowey.com/book-ends/
"led" not "lead", dangit. King of Typos here.
A rainbow stretches across the sky, too wide to fit into my phone's camera, just off my side deck and above our driveway. A second rainbow is trying to take shape above it, just because it can.

I've been wanting to do this for a while -- a "deep dive" on something I've been thinking about or something that's been bugging me... Here's my first!
Another fine short story from Brown Hound Press this week -- one I can relate to as an ex-suburbanite. I love how this one ratchets it up, and again, another great ending!

Iβm reading your story collection! Usually one per day, and each one has been a treat. The little βgirlβ in βOne, Two, Threeβ still haunts meβ¦

βWe look about the world, by the light we have made, and realise itβs all vulnerable, and all worth saving, and no one can do it but us.β - Kathleen Jamie (from Findings)
This looks like a great project to back!

And happy birthday!!

I think itβs an easy shorthand way to show people in love, or trying to have A Momentβ¦.
Weβre rewatching βShrinking,β because itβs fun and occasionally dark and helps us forget the news. Just watched Harrison Ford slow-dance with his estranged daughter.
Do people DO this outside of TV and movies? My wife and I tried it once and we just cracked upβ¦
You had me at salmon.
Why do I keep forgetting that I always have a much better day if I start it by writing new words of fiction? Why???
Okay, look, I'd watch your YouTube channel but I might not make ALL of your recipes...
Great news!!
Thanks for turning me on to Bob Johnson's work! I've been plowing through his collection Continental Divide, and the stories have been dark and amazing, and always with a kicker of an ending.
(It was the ultra-religious protagonist! Who obviously changed a bit by the end.)
