Given that many conferences want full papers submitted (and I’m increasingly inclined to think this is the way to go for DH too), I don’t think “avoiding spoilers” needs to be a consideration though. You should spell out all the conclusions.
Still, whoever wrote that has certainly set a new bar for arrogant and patronizing assumptions!
That’s astonishing. (But I’d be careful about assuming the reviewer who said that was native Anglophone without further evidence…)

The first thing I had to write in uni that was longer than 10 pages was the bachelor’s thesis, and that got more structured supervision.
By my senior year I had worked out that I could produce about one page per hour for any writing assignment, and then it became impossible to make myself start more than N hours before the deadline. This was, as you say, unhelpful for grad school.
Time was, you contributed to an edited collection or resource and got a free copy of the thing. Now you get three months of free access to the online version. Somehow it's just not the same...

I managed to get all the way to this many years old before having to go through my prose and murder Oxford commas to conform to a stylesheet. It hurts.
Yep I had to learn all about that in one of my CS classes in the 90s!
Possibly the biggest roadblock to my uptake of #AI assistants is the fact that I have always been terrible at delegating.
