In 2024, AlexRenew completed work on the Commonwealth Interceptor, designed to help reduce combined sewer overflows in Alexandria. As part of this project, the African American Heritage Park trail reopened last year with new wayfinding signs. Visit the park at 500 Holland Lane in Alexandria.
