I should say “seems to be a fan” is underselling it

Gunn has talked about how much he loves the recent planet of the apes movies, so it’s my guess he really wants him on board

But reeves & Pattinson might not want to deal with franchise shit, so James might have to just do another Batman anyway

That’s currently in limbo, it was supposed to be directed by the Flash movie director but since that movie was horrible no updates have been made since

And since james seems to be a fan of what reeves is doing, people are speculating TBATB is on hold to try and fold reeves into the wider DCU

If it’s any consolation the new clayface movie isn’t a new Batman movie, it’s more like Joker(2019)

Batman is in limbo currently, Pattinson may or may not join the DCU (the stuff Gunn is overseeing)
