I know not everyone loves them, but I've been wanting to build TkSons Technomancers for ages!
I think it's a fun feature of the Sekhetars, since they're supposed to lie in wait until the divined time, their front is a statue-esque facade while from the back you can see the real high-tech robotics. A robo-butt with lore!

I grew up in the North Idaho backwoods, I can tell you that the "difficult conversation" isn't explaining what gay people are. Kids actually get that pretty intuitively.
It's difficult to make a kid understand that a character they like is Bad and Evil for who they love

This is the part people are missing! The "hard conversation" isn't explaining what gay people are. It's explaining why the character their child likes is Bad and Evil for reasons that make no sense to any child.
I have watched this approximately 47 times and laughed out loud 47 times
I watched a 5 hour video by Rick Worley on YouTube on this that was really fascinating. I'm not linking it here because I think that misogyny and transphobia underlay his work and he's missing a lot of nuance. But I think his argument for what Chris Carter was trying to say with the series fits
The show is a lot harder to watch post Covid and Q-anon, things once comedic. But aliens are kinda incidental for the writers
Without getting into spoilers and the kinda of drama that blew up the fandom, the aliens are rarely the danger billionaires and politicians pose in the show.
Yeah one of the big writers is a numerologist and it shows up allllll over the series. People can really lose their minds tracking it all down
I think there’s a pretty strong argument that the series is, at a high level, about the Christian creators struggle with faith and god more than aliens
