Democrats asked for ONE THING today to reopen the govt: Keep health insurance subsidies where they are at now for one year. That is IT. Nothing else.

Republicans said no.

So all the lies they tell every day about things Dems are asking for is BS.
Republicans OWN this shutdown.

Strafford County Sheriff's Office drops Sig Sauer gun over safety concerns Strafford County is trading in its Sig Sauer pistols after a wave of lawsuits alleging the firearm can discharge without the trigger being pulled.

As safety concerns regarding its P320 pistol escalate, rigging the system to change NH law to quash liability lawsuits may not have been the solution key law enforcement customers of Sig Sauer were looking for. #NHPolitics www.seacoastonline.com/story/news/2...

Air Force unit suspends use of Sig Sauer pistol after shooting death of airman While the incident on a base in Wyoming remains under investigation, all service members in the Air Force’s Global Strike Command unit will pause use of the New Hampshire-made M18 pistol.

The same NH elected Republicans who prioritized cutting funding for a state office whose mission is to protect NH kids also prioritized passing a law protecting Sig Sauer from future liability lawsuits. Now this… #NHPolitics www.nhpr.org/nh-news/2025...

As MAGA world focuses on Epstein, Trump focuses on anything else - The Boston Globe The Jeffrey Epstein problem has dogged President Trump for weeks, and he seems like he wants to talk about any other topic.

House and Senate Republicans passed HB 60 to Gov. Ayotte’s desk, a bill which will certainly lead to unnecessary evictions and increase homelessness in N.H. 📞 Call Gov. Ayotte and tell her to veto HB 60: 603-271-2121. #NHPolitics

One week in - “universal” school vouchers already $7,500,000 over budget.

NH Republicans deliberately underestimated the number of wealthy families that would apply for vouchers to hide the true cost, and taxpayers are already paying the price. #NHPolitics

What work requirements would mean for people covered by Medicaid in New Hampshire Republicans in Congress want to require proof of work for Medicaid recipients as part of a massive budget bill favored by President Trump.

1/The experience of other states with this? More bureaucracy, costly to implement, costs shifted to people who are disenrolled and to those w/private insurance, and critical care delayed or not sought. 20,000 people could lose coverage in NH if this goes through. www.nhpr.org/health/2025-...
