Decals on! #MonogramB52
Most of the remaining bits of the model now prepped. Decaling next (such as it is!).... #MonogramB52
Main paint job applied. #MonogramB52
Wings on! #MonogramB52
Wings done, including as mentioned, magnetic catches for holding the flaps in place. #MonogramB52
Tail section on. #MonogramB52
As it's now been presented, I can reveal the Stampe Formation Team repaint job I did on a Pilots Station 1/20 wooden model SV4C. Also I replaced the rigging and the (awful) windscreens. Not the most refined model in the world, but was duly appreciated by the pilot! #SV4C
And finally the fuselage together! #MonogramB52
Cockpit installed. #MonogramB52
Just used what's in the box for the cockpit, no dressing up other than providing the side pieces for the seats. Why the kit doesn't I just don't know. Not a lot will be seen but it's a decent impression nonetheless, nice not to worry about going to town on it. #MonogramB52
Have installed the undercarriage structure. #MonogramB52
Under way with the big B-52D. As requested by the customer, will be pretty much an "out of the box" build, including the Monogram movable bomb bay doors. But have added a magnetic latch system to make sure they stay shut when required. #MonogramB52
Next up! Doesn't seem very long since the last one of these big brutes hit my workbench, although last time I turned it into an NB-52. This time we are sticking with the "D" version in the Vietnam theatre and in line (although not quite) with the kit scheme... #MonogramB52

And decals on! #DoraWingsVegaGull
And main painting done. #DoraWingsVegaGull
First stage of painting. No - it's not going to be yellow. As many of you will know, if you want your red to truly look red, you need a base of yellow... #DoraWingsVegaGull
The canopy parts are a bit over engineered IMHO, but finally got them together. Some of the kit masks don't fit, and the vinyl doesn't stick to curves so had to score and trim some of them. #DoraWingsVegaGull
Instrument panel and coaming installed. #DoraWingsVegaGull
After a couple of recent enquiries, I've penned a piece about how I pack my models for shipping. Hope you find it interesting! bowemodels.blogspot.com/2026/02/tech...
Wings and tail on! #DoraWingsVegaGull
Fuselage together - was worryingly easy for a three part shell, hoping it doesn't come back to bite me. #DoraWingsVegaGull
Office painted up. #DoraWingsVegaGull
Putting the office together. #DoraWingsVegaGull
Under way with the Percival Vega Gull. First item on the agenda, the instrument panel. #DoraWingsVegaGull
Next up! Only ever built a couple of Dora Wings offerings thus far, but I have found them to be very enjoyable builds. A lot of care appears to have gone into their design and they always provide a few "extras" to enhance matters. Looking forward to this... #DoraWingsVegaGull
