Sadly I was part of the generation that decided women who lifted would get 'bulky' and should stick to the cross trainer. It delights me to see how many women of all ages are smashing it in my gym every day.
I found the gym two years ago, aged 50. Turns out lifting heavy things means I no longer start the day with lower back pain. Who knew?
