Obviously I disagree with the plan to extend ILR to 10 yrs but it hadn’t occurred to me that recent arrivals from the Commonwealth have the right to vote against it. Labour should reverse course on this policy. It won’t persuade xenophobes, just make people’s lives precarious and miserable.

As far as Nigel Farage is concerned, let us remind ourselves that he said if we left the EU it would be £350 million a week for the NHS - that didn’t happen. He said if we left the EU there would be less red tape for trading into Europe - try telling that to any business that is trading into Europe. He said if we left the EU regular migration would go down - it quadrupled under the Boris wave. Sir Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
The Brexit campaign was fuelled by misinformation, and new polls have found that the majority of Brits want to reverse it. We must continue to fix our relationship with Europe, and rekindle our ties with the biggest free market in the world.

It remains to be seen how the Venezuelan people will respond to a more overt CIA presence in the country post-Maduro. For years, Maduro cast the CIA as a convenient boogey man, repeatedly accusing the agency – without evidence – of attempting to topple his regime as he clung to power despite US opposition. Now, the CIA has helped supplant Maduro and is poised to help actively manage the Trump administration’s dealings with Venezuela’s new leadership.
